Chloe Picot-Jacobs, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Chloe has a special interest in early childhood development, but loves working with children and adolescents of all ages. Her clinical experience includes attachment work and parent coaching as well as treating children with symptoms of chronic stress and trauma, anxiety disorders (generalized, social, separation, and school avoidance), depression, ADHD, and challenging behaviors. Chloe brings genuine care and curiosity to each of her sessions. One of her favorite aspects of the therapeutic process is empowering families with knowledge and skills that allow them to reach their goals and maintain progress at home.

  • Chloe aims for every family she works with to feel respected, empowered, and understood. She believes that when kids are treated with genuine care and given the right tools, the positive effects of therapy can last a lifetime. As a social worker, she considers the numerous systems, relationships, and intergenerational patterns that shape children’s lives.

Chloe trusts that each individual has the capacity to thrive, and works with families to set measurable, meaningful goals for treatment. She tailors her therapeutic approach based on the developmental level of her clients, incorporating creativity, games, and play depending on their needs and interests. With older children and adolescents, she provides a space for processing emotions as well as concrete skills for engaging with the world in new ways. Knowing that children’s families are a critical part of their lives, Chloe also equips parents with strategies and psychoeducation so they can support their kids.

Chloe utilizes a number of evidence-based treatments including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), CBT, Trauma-Focused (TF-CBT), behavioral activation, and Motivational Interviewing.

  • Chloe earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University, where she studied English literature and film. After  completing a year of AmeriCorps, Chloe went on to receive her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. There, her coursework emphasized child development, family mental health interventions, and healthy attachment. She has worked in a variety of school and nonprofit settings, including several years leading the clinical team at a trauma-focused outpatient mental health center for children and adolescents.

In addition to providing evidence-based therapy for children between the ages of 3 and 17, Chloe has facilitated therapy groups for children, parent groups for caregivers, and process groups for educators. She has created and presented parent workshops on topics like healthy parent-child communication and managing tantrums and has managed clinical programs including an infant and early childhood mental health project.

A licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-S), Chloe is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), has been trained in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and utilizes Motivational Interviewing, Parent Management Training, CBT, and elements of nondirective play therapy in her work. She is a Pyramid Model and Second Step trainer and holds a certificate in school-based social work from the University of Texas at Austin. Chloe is also a clinical supervisor and served as a field instructor for the University of Texas at Austin from 2021-2023. She is licensed as a clinical social worker in the state of Texas (License #66783)

  • Chloe’s greatest source of joy is her family. In her free time, she watches movies, browses Book People for great nonfiction, and loves to bake (especially for friends’ birthdays!). When her dog isn’t insisting on a walk, Chloe likes to relax with Blue Bell ice cream and board games.

  • Chloe is accepting clients at our Round Rock and Allandale offices and is also available for teletherapy. For more information about Chloe’s availability or to schedule an appointment please call 512-246-7225 or visit our client portal.
