Katie specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. Her clinical interests include, generalized anxiety, health anxiety, chronic illness, grief and loss, and depression.

Central to her approach is the priority she places on building a robust therapeutic alliance, aiming to empower clients to leverage their inner strengths in conquering the challenges they confront. Drawing from a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, Katie tailors her approach to align seamlessly with the unique needs of her clients. While her foundation is rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she integrates elements of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Play Therapy, ensuring a personalized and holistic therapeutic experience for those she guides on their journey towards well-being.

  • Katie earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Prior to earning her graduate degree Katie worked in foster and adoption, ensuring ongoing support and advocacy for children placed in foster homes. In her graduate studies Katie completed internships at Dell Children’s Medical Center emergency room and Seton Shoal Creek’s child and adolescent unit providing crisis interventions and group therapy with children and adolescents. Katie most recently worked at the Children’s Blood and Cancer Center providing therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults with an oncology or chronic blood disorder. Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and a board approved supervisor in the state of Texas (59048).

  • In her free time Katie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, and traveling.
