She is also passionate about supporting individuals navigating infertility, young adults seeking to find their footing during life transitions, and adolescents and adults who struggle with self-criticism and self-esteem concerns, supporting them to learn and grow in a more compassionate way of relating to themselves that aligns with their values and goals. Lauren has also been trained in and enjoys providing Christian counseling for clients who wish to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process.

  • Lauren brings warmth, compassion, genuineness, and well-timed humor, when appropriate, to her work with clients to build a solid foundation of trust and safety. She believes that meaningful change begins with a secure and supportive therapeutic relationship, so clients feel safe, heard, and able to be their authentic selves in session. Lauren takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to support clients in the growth and change they desire for their lives, grounded in their unique values and goals. Lauren utilizes a blend of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and self-compassion techniques.

She has recently completed specialized training through the Cognitive Behavior Institute and the International OCD Foundation to further her growth and learning. Lauren is excited to be part of the AAOCDS team, continuing to grow her clinical skills and supporting clients with compassionate care.
