Lydia specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. Her clinical specialties  include generalized anxiety, school- related anxiety, disruptive behaviors, trauma, depression,  and life transitions.

  • Lydia’s approach to therapy strongly emphasizes the therapeutic relationship, ensuring clients feel safe and compassion. She takes a systems approach to meet the needs of each child and family. Lydia values the connection between families, schools, physicians, and other providers to ensure each client’s therapeutic treatment is uniquely tailored. Lydia primarily uses Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness into her work.

  • Lydia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-F CBT), and Trust- Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). Lydia has significant experience working in education, where she provided school-based therapeutic services to both general education and special education students. She would also complete assessments, treatment plans, and connect families to additional community resources as needed. Lydia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas (64314).

  • In her free time, Lydia enjoys being outdoors, hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and dog.
